Senior QA Automation Engineer

JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Automation QA Engineer with a strategic mindset to lead the implementation of our internal test automation framework. This role will be instrumental in driving the expansion of our automation testing coverage across our internal platforms. You'll shape our long-term automation strategy, mentor other engineers, and ensure that our testing infrastructure scales with the company.

ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
What you will do as a Senior Automation QA Engineer in Companjon 
  • Define and implement the internal automation testing framework and tooling strategy
  • Review and optimize existing automated scripts delivered by our external vendors and oversee scalable migration
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to align automation scope and regression priorities
  • Drive CI/CD integration for test automation and reporting
  • Establish testing best practices and mentor junior and mid-level QA automation engineers
  • Evaluate, maintain, and support test environments and data needs for automated regression
  • Expand automation testing beyond our core insurance platform services to include all Companjon tech landscape
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
What you will need to succeed 
  • 5+ years of QA automation experience, with proven leadership in test automation strategy
  • Expertise in modern automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium or similar
  • Strong coding experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python
  • Proven success building or refactoring scalable automation frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar
  • Familiarity with API testing, integration testing, and microservice-based architectures
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
COMPETENCES / SOFTSKILLS
